Chemical vapor deposition:
from diamond film to conductive polymer skin of battery materials
Abstract
In this lecture, Professor Chen will share his research work on advanced electrode materials using chemical vapour deposition. His talk will start with diamond film fabricated on titanium substrate, functional polymeric materials made at MIT, and then focus on the coating of a skin layer of conductive polymers on cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. He will also touch on his future work at CityU in this field. The experimental facility, experimental results and the mechanisms for the processes will be analysed with help from advanced characterisation methods.
